UBMC Membership costs

If you are new to climbing and the climbing club, we always recommend you and your friends to have a go at one of our sessions for free! Depending when you join will decide how much you will pay for a membership with the UBMC. See table below:

* Payment for UBMC membereship must be given to the Secretary
**SportsFed (category B) cards can be purchased from the Sports Centre (at eitherFalmer, Cockcroft or Eastbourne). You must provide a passport photo.

UBMC membership will cost £10.00, which will cover from September 2010, and expire in August 2011. UBMC membership will cost £6.00, which will cover from January 2011, and expire in August 2011. Like other sports clubs you also must pay £10.00 for a sports federation card category B which includes the insurance for your health and safety. All members are strongly recommended to purchase this from the sports centre as soon as possible. A passport photo is required for the SportsFed card.

Your money, will go towards hiring out our climbing kit, that includes ropes, harnesses, slings, cams and belays (excludes climbing shoes). Once you purchased membership with the UBMC, we are selling white T-shirts for only £2.00! Also you will receive a membership card when you attend to the next climbing sessions. The membership card should be able to get you a free snack at the Bear Pub after our Monday Climbs, a few drink deals at Oxygen and 10-20% discounts at OpenSpaces, Cotswold Outdoor, Ellis Brigham and SnowRock! (Discounts may vary from shop to shop and The Bear Pub may not serve food on very busy occassions)

The Sports Fed card will give you discounted entry and queue jump at Oceana on Wednesday nights!
